Tree Hugging
Newest pictures in The New York Times today, Students Concerned By U.S. Plan to Sell Their Trees , had me sent to the North Carolina coast (which is gorgeous!) for two days to work on the article about the Croatan National Forest. The kids were super sweet and their parents most patient as I positioned the students all around the forest for a portrait. It was a good time and a beautiful area. Nice to see political action taken by sixth graders!
